Hello Greasers and Dolls!
Welcome back to the fifties, when the KBA began! This year the Annual Auction is taking on a more "social" type of event theme. We are taking you back to fat city! The My Girl Drive-in & Museum is an authentic replica of a 1950's drive-in restaurant located in Kingston, WA. It houses over 10,000 square feet of collectibles, including chain saws, outboard motors, and antique toys, in addition to an extensive collection of Elvis and rock and roll memorabilia.
The venue opens for check-in at 4:30 pm. We are providing special parking for hot rods, classic cars, and motorcycles under the neons of the curbside service! Grab yourself a beer or wine at the no-host bar, and cruise back to the '50s by wandering throughout the museum. Please browse the silent auction items, participate in the wine pull, take a picture with Elvis and Kitsap's own carhop Roller Rita while snacking on Swedish meatballs!
At 6 pm, Elvis Tribute Performer Danny Vernon takes the stage with ?Illusion of Elvis Presley?. Will you be the lucky girl who gets his scarf? Afterward, a combo buffet of mom's home cooking and daddy-o's grill will be served. Kitsap's carhop Roller Rita is coming out of retirement for our event and leading the hula hoop contest. Later she will lead girls in roller skates in serving root beer floats for dessert!
Brian Orwiler from Stokes will start the Live auction portion of our festivities. We plan to Raise the Paddle and raise funds for the Foundation and Workforce Development Program.
We hope you will stay and watch the neons of the curbside area glow and enjoy your night of 1950's nostalgia.
